Kenneth “Junior” E. Larson, Jr., age 88, a Valders resident, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Sheboygan Falls.
Kenneth was born on June 24, 1932 in Cato, Wisconsin, son of the late Kenneth G. and Josephine (Wiegert) Larson, Sr. He is a graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc. On February 9, 1952 he married Audrey Zipperer at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Whitelaw.
Kenneth was employed at Kalvinator for many years, but being an avid golfer, he looked forward to his job at Wander Springs Golf Course. He loved golfing and was proud of his hole in one. Kenneth also enjoyed going out and socializing with friends, but above all cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered as a man that lived life to the fullest and never blinked to carry his bride’s purse or always hold the door for her.
Survivors include: his loving wife of 69 years Audrey Larson, Valders; children: Steven Larson, Virginia; Greg (Mary) Larson, Cato; Kenny (Patty) Larson, Valders; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great- grandchild; siblings: Elaine Skatrud, John Larson, Richard (Donna) Larson; in-laws: Joyce Ayotte, Bob (Nancy) Zipperer, Janet Christel, Nancy Alexander, Jane (Pat) Stedl. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother-in-law: Dale Skatrud; sister-in-law: LaVerne Larson; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Alfons and Vlasta Zipperer; three brothers-in-law: Art Ayotte, Ron Christel, Bob Alexander; along with other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. Celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Richard Klingeisen. Entombment will be held at Knollwood Mausoleum at a later date.
The family will greet relatives on Monday, June 14, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
