Valders’ pitchers Taylor Hammel & Madalyn Lambert combined on a 7-hitter while Valerie Valleskey went 2-3 with an RBI to lead the host Vikings past Southern Door 3-2.
Hammel earned the win and Lambert retired the side in the 7th for a save. Coach Brian Glaeser’s team wraps up the regular season with a mark of 13-&-8 overall.
They begin WIAA tournament action with a Regional semifinal at New Holstein Monday afternoon (June 14th).
Also in a tournament tune-up, Denmark was a 7-2 winner Thursday over Ashwaubenon.
