As far as COVID-19 numbers are concerned, Manitowoc County ended last week on a good note.
For the third time this month, only one new case was reported by the Health Department on Friday, and no new deaths were reported. The pandemic totals sit at 7,650 confirmed cases and 72 deaths.
Also, the number of people hospitalized in the area has dropped to its lowest point, with 14 people needing treatment for the virus.
On the vaccination front, this also ended nicely last week. 304 shots were administered, with 144 of them being first doses. Since the start of the vaccination process, 67,815 shots have been given, with 36,258 Manitowoc County residents getting at least one dose.
In Sheboygan County, it was much of the same good news.
There were only two new cases reported by the Division of Public Health, alongside six recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 13, 870 confirmed cases, 13,671 recoveries, and leaves 52 cases active.
There were no new deaths reported there either, leaving that total at 147.
