A Two Rivers man who strangled his girlfriend and threatened law enforcement officers has been sentenced.
30-year-old Patrick L. Denson was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on charges of Battery or Threat to a Judge, Prosecutor, or Law Enforcement, Battery, and Resisting or Obstructing an Officer.
Judge Robert Dewayne sentenced him to a total of four years’ probation.
Denson and his girlfriend had gotten into an argument in September of 2020, which resulted in Denson strangling the woman, and threatening to kill her and take her kids.
When officers went to take him into custody he threatened to kill and rape the officers and was also violent toward jail employees.
