A 62-year-old Appleton man will spend the rest of his life in a Wisconsin prison for killing his girlfriend during an argument four years ago.
Johnny Scott pleaded no contest to charges of first-degree intentional homicide in April. In Outagamie County Court Tuesday, prosecutors said he was arguing with Annie Ford over $800 and a television. Scott shot Ford four times, then pointed the gun at her 15-year-old son.
Scott said the victim had robbed him and he wanted her out of his house for his own protection, but she refused to leave. He said he shot her more than once because she kept approaching him.
