The Manitowoc Lincoln Doubles team of Senior Aiden Newberg and Junior Logan Anderson lose to the top overall seed Sam Kredell and Nick Tiahnybik of Arrowhead 6-3 and 6-2 in the third round of the WIAA Division One Individual Boys State Tennis Tournament in Eau Claire.
Aiden and Logan began their state-run yesterday by defeating Hudson Menne and Rohan Gala of Bayport 6-1 and 6-2 then beat an unseeded junior duo from Stevens Point-Luke Hinchcliffe and Colten Thielman in straight sets this morning before falling in their third-round match.
Ships Head Coach Bob Feller says “Aiden and Logan had a great year and are one of the most skilled doubles teams to play at Lincoln High School.”
They finish their outstanding season with a record of 17 and 3.
