New Marquette basketball coach Shaka Smart is looking local while the rules allow in-person contacts for college recruiters
Smart offered scholarships to Menomonee Falls standout Seth Trimble and Leon Bond of Wauwatosa East last April.
Just this week he made offers to Milan Momcilovic of Pewaukee and Wisconsin Lutheran guard Kon Knueppel the Second.
Momcilovic is rated Wisconsin’s top high school prospect for the recruiting class of 2023.
Knueppel averaged 10.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists-a-game for the Vikings as a freshman.
Coaches say he was impressive at Marquette’s team camp earlier this week.
