Investigators with the Richland County Sheriff’s Office have determined a man who drowned in the Wisconsin River last weekend had been fishing from the bank when he fell in.
Witnesses called authorities at about 6:00 p-m Saturday (June 19th).
The man was found downriver from the Goth Boat Landing in Lone Rock and was taken to Richland Hospital in Richland Center.
He died before doctors could help him.
