While the number of new cases has dropped significantly, COVID-19 remains a very dangerous virus, which two more people died from yesterday in Manitowoc County. The Health Department did not release any information on their ages, or where they were from, but these two deaths raise the death toll to 74.
In some good news, there was only one new case reported yesterday, leaving the pandemic total at 7,655.
On the vaccination front, 224 more shots were administered yesterday in Manitowoc County, however, only 47 of them were first doses. This brings the total number of shots given up to 69,225, with 36,761 of those being first doses.
The Health Department also said that starting next week they will be discontinuing their daily reports. The information will still be available by visiting www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/covid-19/county.htm.
In Sheboygan County, there was only one new case reported as well, along with three recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 13,887 confirmed cases, 13,689 recoveries, and leaves only 41 cases active.
They did not have any new deaths, leaving that total at 147.
