The green flags flying Tuesday were there to indicate safe swimming conditions on Lake Michigan beaches in Racine.
That is a big change from the dangerous rip tides over the last three days.
Emergency responders had to pull four children out of the lake, but two died Saturday – 10-year-old Eisha Figuereo Colon of Racine at Zoo Beach and 17-year-old Yadyinder Singh of Franklin at North Beach.
Two 14-year-old girls had to be rescued Monday at about 5:00 p-m and one was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee.
No beaches are closed and the Racine County Sheriff’s Office says there were no drownings last year.
