Rock County detectives say the man they have arrested in the violent death of a 97-year-old woman was already in the county jail on unrelated charges.
37-year-old Jamie E. Beggs had been staying with the victim in her Town of Center home.
He is charged with first-degree intentional homicide and is scheduled to make a court appearance Friday.
The Rock County Medical Examiner hasn’t said how Kathleen Beggs died.
A 9-1-1 caller found the elderly woman’s body in her garage Monday at about 5:30 a-m.
