It was a very successful day yesterday for Lakeshore athletes competing at the WIAA Division Three State Track and Field Championships at Veterans Stadium on the campus Of UW-Lacrosse.
Reedsville junior Brennan Dvorachek is a state champion in the 110 and 300-meter hurdles. Trevor Fiecko placed 15th in the Discus-Ben Thoma of Manitowoc Lutheran finished 16th in the 300 hurdles.
Howards Grove’s 400-meter relay brings home a third-place medal while the Tigers’ Brock Dortman finished 7th in the 100-meter dash and 9th in the 200 and teammate Sam Hockenhull place 8th in the 100.
In the Girls’ competition, Brooklyn Luebke of Manitowoc Lutheran was fourth in the 1600-meter run and fifth in the 3200 and the Lancers’ Monrae Ermis placed fifth in the Shot Put.
Mishicot had a big day with the Indians’ 400-meter relay finishing third and sixth in the 800 relays.
Sierra Ewald was eighth in the 100-meter dash while Emily Rahmlow placed 15th in the Pole Vault and it was quite the day for Howards Groves’ Eden Maranell.
The Tigers’ sophomore was fifth in the 400-meter run-sixth in the 200 and 12th in the Triple Jump.
Division Two athletes take center stage today and the Division One State meet will be held on Saturday.
