An accused killer has told southern Wisconsin authorities he saved his grandmother’s soul by killing her.
37-year-old Jamie Beggs is charged with first-degree intentional homicide.
Investigators say Beggs asked them why he was being charged with murder because he had made the 97-year-old victim into a saint.
Kathleen Beggs was found dead in her home near Footville two weeks ago.
When bail was set at $100,000 for Beggs, his relatives said that was too low.
