A 34-Year-old Manitowoc man is free on a $350 recognizance bond for allegedly threatening his roommate with a hammer and knife plus destroying his computer.
John M. Balsitis is charged with Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Damage to Property each with a Domestic Violence Enhancer.
Police responded to a residence on Wildwood Drive Thursday night (June 24th) and were told that Balsitis lived with the victim.
Upon entering the residence, they saw he was intoxicated-holding a three-inch knife and was combative with EMS Personnel who were looking to take him to the hospital.
Balsitis also allegedly told an officer he was going to “die soon.”
Conditions of bail are that he have no contact with the victim or his residence and he’s due back in court for an initial appearance on July 15th at 1:30 p.m.
