The commitment of a highly-rated cornerback from the Dallas-Fort Worth area grows the Badgers’ recruiting class of 2022 to eight players.
Avyonne Jones of Southlake Carroll High School committed to Wisconsin Monday afternoon.
He chose coach Paul Chryst and his program over Oklahoma State, California, and several other schools.
Current Badgers cornerback Caesar Williams apparently played a big role in convincing Jones to come north.
Williams and Jones reportedly train together down in Texas and Williams hosted Jones when he made his official visit to the Madison campus.
