The Manitowoc Bandits played their first home game in Shoreland League action last night and it turned out to be a dandy.
Coach Chris Cisler’s team won in walk-off fashion in a 6-5 decision over the Algoma Guins at Municipal Field.
The Bandits trailed 5-to-4 entering the bottom of the 9th, but A.J Dollinger delivered a 2-run double to the left center field fence to score Chris Rohr & Shad Hintz.
Winning pitcher Mike Ruzek worked all 9-innings for Manitowoc and wound up with 14 strikeouts.
The Bandits are scheduled to host the Menasha Macs at Municipal Field tomorrow night (June 30th) at 7:30 PM.
