The two sides haven’t reached a settlement agreement yet, but they have agreed to put off the date Alfonso Morales would return at Milwaukee police chief.
A judge had ordered the city to either make a deal with Morales or return him to office July 3rd.
The new date is July 12th.
The judge ruled last December that Morales wasn’t given due process when he was demoted.
An attorney for the former chief says progress has been made recently during their negotiations.
