Early Friday morning, July 2nd, 2021, Elizabeth A. (Betty) Schroder, loving mother and grandmother, was called home at the age of 75.
Betty was born on September 6th, 1945, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts to Henry and Irene (Hatin) Sikorski, and raised by her grandparents Frank and Josephine Sikorski, in Armstrong Creek, Wisconsin. She married Leonard M. Schroder on November 11th, 1961 in Armstrong Creek. He preceded her in death on February 26, 2010.
Betty was employed at Mirro Aluminum Company for thirty-three years, retiring in 2001. Besides her family, Betty’s greatest love was her dogs. They brought her much joy, especially Bo, Miciah, Bridgie, and Moja. After retirement, she was a proud member of the Red Hat Society. She also enjoyed playing Hand & Foot, singing in the church choir, and playing bingo.
She is survived by two daughters and one son; Debra (Tom) Mraz, Shirleen (Bruce) Boettcher, and Richard Schroder; her grandchildren: Beki (Edward) Urbanek, Brittoni Watkins, Casey Watkins, Libi Watkins, Brady Boettcher (special friend Morgan), Landon Boettcher, Bailey Boettcher, Lindsay (Tony) Wiesner; and her great-grandchildren: Aubri, Kaden, Bella, Lilly, Ashlyn, Brantley, and Mila. She is further survived by two brothers, Mike Sikorski and Wayne (Roseanne) Sikorski; brothers-in-law, Roger Russell and Don (Nancy) Schroder; sister-in-law, Darlene (Larry) Schoch; and a very special nephew, Donny Sheldon, along with other nieces and nephews, family, and friends. Some very special friends include: Monica Johnson, Shirley Sonntag, Linda Osieczanek, Rosie LeClair, and Donna Collard.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard (Swede) Schroder; and one sister, Mary Russel.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Dave Pleier, with burial to follow in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Thursday morning from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation.
