An 86-year old Manitowoc man died yesterday (Monday) morning when his vehicle collided with-
a milk truck at the intersection of US Highway 10 and County P/Homestead Road.
Sheriff’s Office Major-Operations Jason Orth tells Seehafer News a 68-year old Rural Manitowoc man was-
operating a 2017 Kenworth quad-axle milk truck eastbound on HWY 10 at approximately 7:45am. At the same time, the 86-year old male was driving an SUV northbound on County P, when he entered the intersection and was struck by the milk truck. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene while the truck driver wasn’t injured.
Names of those involved in the crash are expected to be released later today or tomorrow morning.
The intersection was closed Monday morning for about 3.5 hours. Orth explained that Wisconsin State Patrol inspectors and members of their reconstruction team are assisting with the crash investigation.
