Former Marquette freshman Dawson Garcia pulled out of N-B-A Draft consideration this week – and now he’s headed to North Carolina.
The 6-foot-11 forward from Burnsville, Minnesota announced Thursday that he’s transferring to the Tar Heels for his sophomore season.
Garcia averaged 13 points and six-and-a-half rebounds in his lone season with the Golden Eagles.
He scored 24 and grabbed 11 boards in an 83-70 win over U-N-C at Chapel Hill last season.
Garcia put his name in the N-C-A-A transfer portal before July 1st, which make him immediately eligible.
