The Milwaukee Brewers rallied past the Cincinnati Reds 5-3 in the series opener Thursday night at American Family Field.
Avisail Garcia hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning to put the Crew ahead. Reliever Devin Williams pitched a scoreless inning for the win and Josh Hader picked up the save.
Brewers starter Adrian Houser allowed three runs on five hits in four-and-a-third innings.
Left-hander Eric Lauer is scheduled to start the second game tonight (July 9th) against Reds’ southpaw Wade Miley. First pitch on 107.9 FM WOMT is at 7:10 PM.
