A pitcher’s duel in Sheboygan last night went to the host team in a 2-0 victory over Manitowoc American Legion Post-88.
Jacob Gallagher took the loss for Manitowoc after allowing just 4-hits and 2-earned runs in 6-innings. Jacob struck out 5 and walked 5.
Sheboygan’s Peyton Voight earned the win, also giving up 4-hits while striking out 7 and walking 3.
Post 88 received base hits from Jackson Schmitz, Zach Marten, Robert Shimek and Hunter Chalupny, but was unable to cross the plate.
Manitowoc (8-and-2) will compete this weekend in the Central Wisconsin Classic at Plover where they’ll play 2 games on Friday and 2-more Saturday.
