A ‘Pop Up” being viewed on computers and smartphones noting a heavy police presence in Manitowoc has turned out to be a misunderstanding.
Manitowoc Police Lt. Robert Arps tells us that there are several officers at the Manitowoc Public Library aiding in their “Touch The Truck” Event where kids can feel and get inside of a fire Truck. Lt. Arps adds that there is no other incident requiring multiple officers going on within the City limits nor have they responded to any such incidents in recent hours.
Citizens are asked to ignore the alerts but are reminded that if you see anything suspicious to please call the MPD Shift Commander Line at 686-6551.
