Unofficial voting results show former Republican legislative aide William Penterman is the apparent winner of Tuesday’s special election in Wisconsin’s 37th Assembly District.
The 25-year-old Penterman received 3,742 votes, while Democratic candidate Pete Adams received 3,063.
Independent candidate Stephen Ratzlaff Junior was credited with 112.
The 37th District includes southeastern Dodge County and parts of northern Jefferson and eastern Columbia counties.
The cities of Columbus, Waterloo, and Watertown are in the district.
