The National League Central Division-leading Milwaukee Brewers return to action after the All-Star break with a three-game series starting Friday in Cincinnati.
The Reds just took three out of four games in Milwaukee before the break.
Despite that stumble and three straight losses to the Reds, the Brewers are still on top of the standings by four games.
They will start the second portion of the 2021 season with a 53-and-39 record.
Cincinnati is second at 48-and-42, while the Cubs and Cardinals have dropped eight games off the pace.
The Brewers traded for relief pitcher Kyle Lobstein Tuesday night, sending him to Triple-A Nashville.
Lobstein has 130 innings in Major League Baseball, with an earned run average of 5.22.
