The Wisconsin Assembly has filed notice it will appeal a judge’s open record ruling.
Dane County Circuit Judge Juan Colas determined the Assembly violated Wisconsin’s open records law when it refused to release information about sexual harassment allegations against a former state representative.
The Associated Press, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Wisconsin State Journal, and The Capital Times wanted copies of the complaint filed against Staush Gruszynski.
The media outlets went to court when former Assembly Clerk Pat Fuller denied their open records request.
