After a few days off, the Manitowoc American Legion baseball team will have a busy weekend in store when they compete in the Central Wisconsin Classic at Plover.
Legion Post-88 is scheduled to play a total of 4-games today and tomorrow.
This morning at 10:00 AM (July 16th), Coach Stan Dietrich’s squad goes up against Watertown and then later in the day at 3:00, the local team meets Holmen.
Saturday’s schedule includes a game with Eau Claire at noon followed by another 3:00 PM 1st pitch against Sheboygan, which just handed Manitowoc only its’ 2nd loss of the season in ten outings Monday night.
There is also local baseball tonight on Manitowoc’s southside, where the Bandits are scheduled to host the Ashwaubenon Lookouts in a 7:30 start.
It’s an important Shoreland League game and is also Larry’s Distributing Night at Municipal Field with door prizes to be given away.
