Authorities in Racine County report five juveniles were arrested earlier this week after a police pursuit of a stolen vehicle ended in a crash.
The incident started Monday at about 10:45 p-m when a police officer spotted an S-U-V being driven recklessly.
When he started following the vehicle in preparation for a traffic stop, several shots were fired, then the S-U-V took off at a high rate of speed.
During the pursuit, authorities found out that the vehicle had been stolen in Illinois.
After the crash, five juveniles between the ages of 14 and 17 were taken into custody.
An occupant of the car they hit was hospitalized but is expected to recover.
