Bail was set at $10,000 cash this week for a Manitowoc man for threatening to harm multiple people in his residence as well as law enforcement.
Dang Vang is charged with Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Damage to Property both with Domestic Violence Enhancers, Battery or Threat to Judge, Prosecutor or Law Enforcement, Failure to comply with an Officer, and Possession of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine.
Officers were dispatched to a residence Tuesday afternoon in the 1400 block of south 14th Street after his wife reported that her husband was high on meth and making threats with a knife. Upon arrival, officers saw Vang holding a knife stabbing the lower portion of a window frame.
He had allegedly threatened to stab three individuals in the home and hang them and kill officers on scene. Manitowoc County Swat personnel finally subdued Vang by using chemical agents and took him into custody. No one was injured.
Conditions of bail are that Vang has “no contact” with the three residents of the home or any premises they occupy and maintain absolute sobriety from drugs and alcohol. Valid warrants were also out for his arrest from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Green Bay Police Department.
He remains in the County Jail with his initial appearance scheduled for Monday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.
