The search for a missing Dane County woman, who is the wife of a Manitowoc County native, has brought divers and cadaver dogs to a pond.
The sheriff’s office was flying a drone over the pond Thursday afternoon while searchers looked for Krista Halderson.
Her son is being held in the county jail accused of killing his father, Valders native Bart Halderson.
Crews partially drained the pond near the Halderson home as part of the process.
Investigators say they were searching the pond because it is close to the family’s home, not because they got a tip.
The couple’s son, Chandler Halderson, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in his father’s death.
Authorities believe his mother is also dead.
