Motorists in Manitowoc will no longer have to detour around a portion of Washington Street starting sometime Monday.
We reached out to the City of Manitowoc Engineering Division, who said that Vinton Construction, who was the contractor for the project, expects the section of roadway between South 15th and 18th Streets to open back up sometime on Monday.
This is one day ahead of their previously projected end date. The project not only saw the workers repave the bumpy roadway, but they also replaced a short segment of the sanitary sewer relay. The project cost an estimated $265,000.
