Motorists traveling in Manitowoc County are reminded that work on an I-43 bridge deck polymer overlay project begins Monday morning.
Crews will apply a thin-protective polymer overlay to the top surface of 19 bridge decks that’ll protect and prolong their life plus minimize future maintenance costs along with increase the time before a more costly deck rehabilitation project is required.
I-43 will remain open to traffic with single-lane closures at the bridge location crews are working. A reduction if the posted regulatory speed limit will be installed in the construction zone. Specific locations and dates of work will be posted in the Northeast Region Weekly Construction Online Update with all work expected to be completed by August 31st.
