After a difficult year in 2020 due to Covid, the executive director of Manitowoc’s Capitol Civic Centre said he’s “extremely excited that we’re starting to have events again.”
P.J. Albert tells us they’ve just spent the last few months working towards the 100th-anniversary Celebration of the Capitol Theatre.
“The building opened officially in June 1921 so we just had the centennial of the building during which time we had a number of smaller events and backstage tours, and Facebook posts commemorating some of the history of the organization over time.”
Albert explains they have a wonderful image that was created to honor their centennial.
“For which we have now placed it on the side of the building along Jay Street, And, you can also purchase your own copy in the box office where we have canvas prints recognizing the centennial of the Capitol Theatre.
They’re now transitioning into being able to have live shows and open up the building for people to see the various performances.
