Three teenagers are accused of causing “significant damage” during an incident last week at the Lincoln Hills School in Irma.
A staff member at the Department of Corrections facility was injured, but he is expected to return to the job today (July 26th).
Two 17-year-olds and a 16-year-old are being held in the Lincoln County Jail on $100,000 cash bonds.
They are accused of destroying light fixtures, mirrors and windows, bathroom sinks, toilets, and stall dividers in a single housing unit.
Investigators say the suspects threw sinks and toilets – or parts of that equipment – at officers.
They also took over a control booth where they tried to release other inmates.
The doors were shut manually before that could take place.
The staff member was hurt while trying to bring the situation under control Thursday night.
