Roncalli High School has announced some major player awards for their Girls Fastpitch Softball Program.
Maddie Hablewitz was selected EWC player of the year after the Jets All-Conference catcher batted an incredible .492 and led the league in home runs with 9. Maddie was also voted 1st team All-District and 2nd team All-State.
Also, EWC first-team outfielder Abby Stelzer batted .385 and committed just one error all season.
Second team all-conference recognition came to 1st baseman Maddy Rathsack, who hit .344 while teammates Jena Garceau, Ellie Jagemann, and McKenzie Staudinger all received honorable mention.
Jets Coach Adam Wachowski said Garceau transitioned into being a pitcher this spring and finished the season with a no-hitter in tournament play, a 2.90 ERA, and batted .294.
