A meat processor in New Franken has recalled various flavors of jerky following a routine inspection by the state.
The jerky was produced by Farmstead Meats, and is classified as a Class I recall, which according to the USDA means it is a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.
As of now there have not been any illnesses reported as a result of the product.
Anyone who has consumed any jerky produced by Farmstead Meats before March 2nd and have developed symptoms of foodborne illness should contact their doctor.
