There is less than a month now before the annual Manitowoc County Fair returns at the Expo grounds on the city’s southwest side.
This year’s theme is Stars, Stripes, and Fair Delights, and the dates will be August 25th through the 29th. Expo Facilities Manager Jennell Shelton was on WOMT’s Be My Guest program recently and mentioned a new feature at this year’s fair, “We are having a parade that’s going to be leading us into the fireworks, into the grandstand and that’ll happen probably around 9 o’clock on that Wednesday, August 25th, and we’ve got Manitowoc Lincoln High School that’s going to be in the parade, we have A Touch of Harmony, as well as a color guard, the Ant Hill Mob is going to be supporting us.”
General admission for the Fair is $10, with veterans and seniors being admitted for $6. As usual, the Fair will include three music pavilions, a petting zoo, exhibit judging, magic shows, pony rides, and lots of food and beverage offerings.
