William G. “Bud” Chaloupka, age 83, lifelong resident of rural Mishicot courageously lost his battle with Alzheimer’s on July 22, 2021.
He was born July 16, 1938, son of the late William C. And Lucille (Radey) Chaloupka. Preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Fred and Marie Jonas; brother Terry; and grandsons, Michael and Scott Chaloupka. Also, brothers-in-law, Fritz Jonas and Clem Hurda and sister-in-law, Susan Jonas.
He graduated with honors from Mishicot High School in 1956. He was hired at Eastman Hose & Coupling Division in 1959. As the company grew it changed names. He had various titles and responsibilities through the years working as a draftsman and project engineer. He retired in 2000 from Parker after 41 years of service.
For 10 years he and his wife, Elaine, owned and operated Fischerville Bar. Later he helped operate their Rag Rug business; weaving rugs and setting up craft shows.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time at the cottage, feeding the birds and watering the plants in the garden. Some may remember him as “Martini Bill” when he was active with the West of the Lake CB Club.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elaine (Jonas). His son, James (Julie) and daughter Ellen Rohr. Grandchildren Jennifer, Peter (Allison) Rohr, Beccky (Stephen) Molyneux, and Matthew Rohr, great grand-daughter, Amelia Molyneux. Also survived by his sister, Joye Hurda; sisters-in-law, Johanna Chaloupka and Bonita Jonas; and brother-in-law, Ronald (Barbara), a niece and 10 nephews.
A Celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2021 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 325 Randolph Street, Mishicot. Rev. Joel Stuebs will officiate, with inurnment to be held at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Thursday August 5th from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m.

He will be affectionately remembered for his witty quips. Dad, a little paint won`t fix this one and you can get there from here, the road is just a little rough. You will be missed.
