An 81-year-old Chicago woman is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Door County yesterday afternoon.
The initial investigation indicates the victim identified as Florence McMillian was traveling westbound on County Highway EE in the Town of Gibraltar about 2:40 p.m. when she failed to yield the right-of-way and entered the intersection with County Highway A and was struck by a dump truck driven by 51-year-old Curtis Rice of Sister Bay.
McMillian was pronounced dead at the scene. Both roads were closed for several hours and reopened to thru traffic around 9 p.m.
No further information is being released at this time as the crash remains under investigation
