Maxwell Schultz of Reedsville was the runner-up finisher last night in the Super Late Model Feature Race at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna, and in doing so Schultz has taken the lead in the division point standings.
Neenah’s Braison Bennett had the lead with 22-laps completed and was declared the winner after the race was washed out.
A wreck coming out of an attempted restart resulted in a lengthy cleanup and that caused Fox River Racing Club officials to cancel the balance of the race.
In last night’s Sport Truck Feature at W-I-R, Bobby Wautier of Denmark extended his point lead with a last-lap pass on fastest qualifier Cody Vander Loop to capture the division feature.
The 3rd leg of the Red, White & Blue state championships, the “Blue Race”, will be held next Thursday, August 12th.
