Scott R. Menge, age 55, of Gilchrest, TX, and formerly of Whitelaw, entered into eternal peace on Sunday, August 1, 2021 in Galveston, TX.
Scott was born on February 9, 1966 in Manitowoc to Barbara (McCarthy) Menge and the late Edward Menge. He grew up and attended Mishicot and Reedsville Public schools. Scott was always an entrepreneur and had many business ventures which took him across the country. He was the owner of Sterling Concessions, a director for Funds of Houston, and was a former past President of the Hot Sprints Showmen’s Club. Scott lived his life at full speed and had enough charisma for 10 people, but cancer proved too much for him. He spent most of his last days on the beach he loved. Like with everything he did, he did things his own way. If you met Scott, you would not forget him – he touched many lives.
He will be greatly missed by his survivors including his mother, Barbara Eberhart, Whitelaw; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David (Vicki) Menge, Appleton, and Danny (Nora) Menge, FL; three sisters and two-brothers-in-law, Robin Scheuer, Mishicot, Rikki (Lark) Lawrenz, OK, and Jayme (Will) Whirry, Whitelaw; nieces and nephews to include: Traci Menge, Rachel Geiser, David (Lisa) Struve Jr., Kyle (Cady) Scheuer, Carisa (Michael) Keller, Jon Struve, Casey Scheuer, Sean Menge, Katrina Scheuer, Trixi Schultz, Daniel Menge Jr.; four grandnieces; his very special and best friends, Pat and Barb Kupsky, Reedsville; along with other relatives and friends. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Edward R. Menge; and grandparents, John and Hellen McCarthy, and Viola and Edward Menge.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
