Bail is set at $500 cash for a 20-year-old Manitowoc man facing several charges after attempting to flee from police.
Korshaun D. Walcott is charged with Possession of Marijuana, his second or subsequent offense, Possession of an Illegally Obtained Prescription Drug, Resisting An Officer, three counts of Felony Bail Jumping and one count of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
Police say employees of AmericInn, where they were performing a welfare check Wednesday (August 11th) had seen a man later identified as Walcott chasing a woman through the halls.
Officers eventually found Walcott in a vehicle with three others and told him he was under arrest on outstanding warrants. He cooperated when Officers drew their Tasers.
A subsequent search found Walcott to be in possession of Marijuana and a pill known by the name Alprazolam.
He proceeded to flee on foot in cuffs and was eventually detained with help from Walcott’s friends and taken into custody without further incident.
The lone condition of bail is that Walcott maintain absolute sobriety from drugs and alcohol.
He remains in the County Jail on a Probation Hold with his initial appearance scheduled for August 23rd at 1:30 PM.
