The Manitowoc Lincoln Ships Soccer Program is kicking off the 2021 season by hosting the Ludington Michigan Orioles for an exhibition in the Inaugural Car Ferry Cup.
Coach Chris Callen tells us that this tilt is the first known cross-lake competition between the two communities in any prep sport. Plans are to make this an annual event between the new interlake rivals with the two cities alternating hosting the event. The visiting team will travel to the other via the SS Badger Car Ferry.
In addition, Ludington will meet the Spartans of Luxemburg Casco also to be played at Ron Rubick Field.
