The Director of Athletics at Manitowoc Lincoln High School has been elected to serve in a leadership role on the WIAA Board of Control for 2021-’22.
The board conducted its’ officer elections at a meeting in Stevens Point late last week and Ships A-D Dave Steavpack was selected as the group’s treasurer.
Karl Morrin, who has some eastern Wisconsin ties and is now district administrator of the Florence School District, will serve as the president-elect.
Stephanie Hauser presided over her first meeting as the executive director while Mel Dow received formal board approval as the new associate director of the WIAA.
Among the topics discussed were the agenda for Area Meetings in September, maintaining existing COVID guidelines for member schools, and a review of the membership’s transfer rules, related to the pandemic.
The Board of Control also voted in support of forming an ad-hoc committee to re-examine competitive Balance.
