Local and area gridiron action for opening weekend is scheduled for Friday night (August 20th), and the Manitowoc Lincoln High School football team gets a headstart as it plays its season opener tonight at Ron Rubick Municipal Field.
The Shipbuilders will play Appleton West in a 7:00 PM kickoff, just over 3-months after the final game of the pandemic-delayed 2020 campaign.
A program reminder that the Lincoln-Appleton West ballgame will be broadcast tonight on 97.1 FM WCUB. Airtime is set at 6:45.
The only other prep football games of area interest involve schools in the FRCC-North, including Bay Port hosting Middleton, Green Bay Preble at D.C. Everest and Southwest visits Oshkosh North.
