The Manitowoc County Highway Department announced they’ll begin a Milling/Paving Project Monday morning.
Highway Commissioner Greg Grotegut says work will occur on County Highway JJ From Highway H to County Highway J in Clarks Mills simultaneously with County Highway S from U.S. Highway 151 to the Manitowoc River Bridge.
The road will be open to local traffic only. A posted detour route on Highway JJ will take traffic to Interstate 43 to U.S. Highway 151 to Highway J. The Highway S detour will reroute traffic to U.S. Highway 151 to County Highway J to U.S. Highway 10.
Work is expected to be completed by mid-September, weather permitting.
