A high school soccer team will be traveling across Lake Michigan this morning to participate in the first-ever Car Ferry Cup.
Chris Callen, the head coach of the Manitowoc Lincoln boys soccer team will be greeting the team from Ludington Michigan as the S.S. Badger docks in Manitowoc at noon.
The long trip will be well worth it for the Orioles, as they have several games on the docket today.
Their JV team will take on Lincoln at 4:00 PM on the grass field at Ron Rubik Municipal Field, while at the same time, the varsity squad battles Luxemburg-Casco on the turf field.
Then at 6:00 PM, the Ludington and Luxemburg-Casco JV teams will play on the grass field.
And in the headline matchup of the evening, the Ludington and Lincoln varsity squads will take to the turf field at 7:00 PM.
