The 2021 Manitowoc County Fair enjoyed a great week in terms of attendance. That’s according to Expo Facility Manager Jennell Shelton.
“It was over 42,000 in attendance and when we look at our attendance we look at general admission, the senior and veteran passes, the season and tiny tot passes, those for exhibitors, and there’s so much more involved in it. But that’s what we’re looking at for numbers, so we’re very, very pleased.”
Shelton explained their biggest day was on Saturday, “And we’re just happy with the 13,000 attendance for that day. The Sea Lion show was a big hit as well as Lew-E’s Comedy Circus if you were able to come out and see a great show that Lew-E did for us.”
During fair week, the Expo Facility Manager said staff and board members look at ways to improve the fairgrounds, and she pointed out a big visual improvement this year as the newly asphalted midway. Shelton added that they continue to look at “where can we do better to make the event more enjoyable.”
A meeting to discuss the 2022 Manitowoc County Fair is scheduled for September 8th.
