Months of infrastructure and street reconstruction work on 24th-25th and Madison Streets in Two Rivers is nearing completion.
City Manager Greg Buckley says all underground utilities were also replaced.
“24th Street is pretty well wrapped up except for tree planting which will either be this fall or in the spring and utility work is well along on 25th and Madison which was bid as one contract. I believe storm sewers should be going this week so within another week or so they should be doing grading and graveling in preparation for paving.”
Approximately 100 lead water service laterals have been replaced along those aforementioned streets with total cost of the entire project coming at around $4.2 million. Work should be completed sometime this fall.
