Phase Two of the ongoing State Highway 67 Improvement Project begins next Monday.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says the highway will close between Kiel and Plymouth for approximately 15 working days (into early October) as crews will apply a concrete overlay of the Mullet River Bridge.
Motorists will be detoured from Highway 23 in Plymouth to County Highway EH in Kiel. Access will be maintained to businesses and property owners in the work zone.
The first phase began in May which included 11.5 miles from Suhrke Road in Sheboygan County to State Highway 32/57 in Manitowoc County.
Work also consisted of replacement and installation of new culver pipes, storm sewer, sidewalk, curb ramps, beam guard, permanent signing, and pavement markings.
The final phase takes place in Early October for a replacement of a large box culvert at Muehl Springs. Work is expected to last 15 working days.
